Ariadnne Vargas Rivadeneira is a Product Manager at IBA, where she supports the development of new irradiation applications beyond the medical devices sterilization field—particularly in the food, environmental, and industrial sectors. With a strong interest in making irradiation technology more accessible and impactful for the food industry, she brings both technical knowledge and field experience to her role.
She entered the irradiation field in 2019, when she led the Industrial Applications Unit at the Bolivian Nuclear Energy Agency. At the same time, she taught at the Bolivian Catholic University (UCB) and San Andres Major University (UMSA). Earlier in her career, she worked in the food sector, focusing on quality and operations, where she implemented ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 systems.
Ariadnne holds a master’s degree in project management and specialized in nuclear technology applications through studies at the Balseiro Institute and the University of Buenos Aires. She is a chemical engineer by training. For a period, she served as a consultant for the International Irradiation Association (iia), where she was actively involved in the Phytosanitary Irradiation Platform (PsIP), and she remains a member of the group today.
